Discover Explore is an online, offline exploration game that helps young people and their families discover hidden, extraordinary, important and historical stories and places throughout the UK.
Using the latest online technologies, explorers use the website to download missions then head off on adventures to uncover 400 million years of natural and human stories.
The game encourages families to get outdoors and become involved in inspirational, and creative activities.
Discover Explore is part of Discovering Places, the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad campaign to inspire the UK to discover its local, natural and built environments and has been created in partnership with The Workshop. The initial research and development of Discover Explore was done in partnership with The Geography Collective and the original artwork is by The Geography Collective and Tom Morgan-Jones.
